Do you ever get a headache from trying to do everything right? Then you are already part of a positive change. We know you want to shop 100% sustainably, avoid greenwashing, buy only what you really need... But we have the rule of all rules for you: Accept that we will never be 100% nobody. Other rules are now being followed better.
1. Be curious. A transparent brand is always better than a mysterious one.
If you buy a brand regularly, try to find out basic information about it - where the clothes are made, what materials they use, when and where they were made. If such information is unavailable, this is the first red flag. And be careful, sometimes even brands that pretend to be local, sustainable, ethical - don't show their true face at first glance.
2. Defy trends. Timeless and quality clothing is automatically purchased with less frequency.
Short-term trends, low-quality materials and cuts, by their very nature, force us to shop more often. Time-proven cuts are easier to combine, so they don't get tired of their owners so quickly. If you buy quality materials, ethical and sustainable fashion and favor minimalist pieces, the next generation can also inherit them.
3. Look for production in the Czech Republic & EU. The distribution of products and materials makes a huge difference in the overall impact.
It is not just one journey of a manufactured piece, e.g. from Bangladesh to the Czech Republic. Clothing often travels to a different country for each stage of processing . And that's not the kind of travel we want to support. A locally produced piece travels up to 7x fewer kilometers . That's why we like to support brands that manufacture in the Czech Republic or the EU.
Are you at least partially able to shop based on these pillars? Then you are the heroes of today . Believe me, not everyone is interested in sustainability and ethics. We are proud of you and you should be too.
