Interview with the architect Honza

Hon, how do you choose your holiday destinations? The last time was Portugal. Was this your first visit?

I visited Portugal for the first time a year ago. We were on a short spring trip in Porto. Now we have arrived in Lisbon, where we made a short stop and continued south to the ocean. I look for holiday destinations in such a way that it is not too hot, you can ride a road bike, for example, or there are other sports activities. And since I am an architect by profession, I am also interested in local architecture and urban planning.

What impression did Portugal leave on you?

I was surprised by the beautiful views of the ocean, the rocky coast and, above all, the peace and quiet. No one is in a hurry.

During your stay, you also tried surfing for the first time, how did it go?

It's really much more difficult than it looks. I managed to stand up on the surfboard a few times, but the worst part was always getting back to the surface after falling and paddling for the next wave.

Would you go surfing again?

Clearly.

Are you subject to fashion trends when choosing clothes?

I would say not, but I think that a person is subject to it even subconsciously. I was greatly influenced by my one-year work stay in Copenhagen, where fashion trends abound. You will hardly meet anyone who is not well dressed.

What are your favorite fashion pieces?

I mainly prefer oversize pieces that are comfortable. But I like to wear a shirt and ankle boots to a work meeting or just for that matter.

What is important to you when choosing clothes?

Above all, the material must be pleasant. He must not bite me.

How do you spend your free time?

I dedicate most of my free time to my road bike, and when I'm not riding, I like to turn my office into a bike workshop. I am able to disassemble, clean, lubricate, adjust the entire bike. And not only for yourself, but also for your friends.

How would you define well-being?

Don't stress too much. Taking things as they are and believing that everything happens for a reason that is often beyond our control. For me, this realization always helps me to be more calm and well-being.

How do you take care of yourself?

I like to cook a lot, so I have a better overview of what exactly I eat. I do sports. I'm resting. And I try to follow the sleeping regime as well.
